Meritage

A birthday celebration with the in-law took us to Meritage. A quaint little restaurant. Our service was good, not great. As for our food, here's what we ordered:
  • Jala-Poblano Margarita: Delicious!
  • Mulligatawny Soup: Delicious!
  • Duck Nachos: Amazing!
  • Roasted Eggplant Soup: Very good (per my mother-in-law)
  • Braised Grass-Fed Short Ribs: Flavorless! What was described as a star anise-ginger broth tasted like beef broth.
  • Tempura Rainbow Trout: A nightly special and delicious per my mother-in-law
  • Paella: Another nightly special and absolutely fantastic
My father-in-law was excited about ordering the Bison Sauerbraten Stew and was disappointed to find out they were out (which we thought was odd for early on a Friday night). Despite a few criticisms, we do plan to return to try again.
