Tory’s favorite cocktail to serve during the summer is the classic Southside, which seems to work with any occasion.
ingredients
4 mint leaves, plus mint sprig for serving1 oz simple syrup
2 oz gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
Club soda (for serving)
preparation
Muddle mint leaves with simple syrup in a shaker. Add gin and lemon juice; fill shaker with ice. Shake until frosty. Strain into an ice-filled glass; top off with a splash of club soda and a mint sprig.

Chef Notes: I created this drink based on a drink by the same name promoted at the dinner theater during the opening weekend of Fifty Shades of Grey. Enjoyed them during our girls' weekend trip!
ingredients
2 tsp raspberry purée3-4 mint leaves, spanked
1/8-1/4 lime, squeezed
1-1/2 oz Hendrick's Gin
Ginger ale
preparation
Fill glass with ice. Add purée, mint, lime juice and gin. Top with ginger ale. Stir to combine.

This original cocktail from New Orleans is perfect for Mardi Gras celebrations.
ingredients
1/4-1/2 lemon, cut into wedges5 leaves fresh mint
1/4 oz agave nectar
1-1/2 oz spiced rum
1-1/2 oz club soda, or as needed
Crushed ice
preparation
Muddle lemon wedges, mint leaves, and agave nectar in a lowball glass until fragrant. Add rum, club soda and crushed ice. Pour mixture into a cocktail shaker and shake until blended. Pour back into lowball glass. Garnish with lemon and mint.

32 oz red fruit punch6 oz frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1-2/3 cups light rum
1-2/3 cups dark rum
preparation
Stir together all ingredients. Serve over ice.

2-3 tsp sugar10-12 small mint leaves
1/4 cup white rum
2 Tbsp key lime juice
4 oz club soda, chilled
preparation
Place sugar and mint in a tall glass; crush with a muddler or the back of a long spoon. Fill glass with ice. Add rum, juice, and club soda. Stir to blend ingredients. Garnish with mint sprig, if desired.

In memory of my grandma ... we always made this at Christmas!
ingredients
2 pkg lime Kool-Aid2 cups sugar
2 quarts water
42 oz pineapple juice
1 quart ginger ale or 7-Up
preparation
Mix together first three ingredients, then add pineapple juice. Add ginger ale just before serving.

4.5 oz Godiva liqueur, (3 shots)4.5 oz Créme de Cocoa, (3 shots)
1.5 oz Stoli Vanil, (1 shot)
7.5 oz half & half, (5 shots)
Chocolate syrup
preparation
Fill shaker about 1/2 full with ice. Pour liquor and half & half over ice and shake. Swirl chocolate syrup onto sides of martini glass. Pour and enjoy!
